First Day of School Delayed to August 27

Wednesday, August 15, 2018

Dear Parents,

As you begin to make plans for the start of the new school year, we want to let you know that our first day of school will be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.  A large portion of the school roof is currently under repair due to water leak issues, and unfortunately, the roofing contractor has informed us that due to rain-related delays over the past few weeks and additional forecast rain the next several days, the repairs will not be completed in time to begin school on August 22 Because the repairs involve hot tar which emits strong fumes, we are unable to operate the air conditioning or open the windows in many areas of the building.  With the health and safety of our students always a top priority, we have made the decision to begin school on Monday, August 27, following completion of the repair work.

The revised schedule of events is as follows:

Monday, August 20

Back-to-School Night - please refer to the schedule emailed on August 1
The building is warm - please dress comfortably!

Monday, August 27
