Mrs. Arnone

Principal

Arnone

As Principal, Mrs. Arnone embodies the excellence the St. Hilary School community expects.  Prior to becoming Principal at St. Hilary School in July, 2011, Mrs. Arnone was for nine years the principal at Sacred Heart School in Wadsworth, Ohio.  She also previously served for 17 years in the Wadsworth City School District as a principal, an assistant principal, a Title I coordinator, and a science teacher.  Mrs. Arnone believes in putting children first, and in knowing each student personally.

Mrs. Arnone and her husband of 24 years are active members of Sacred Heart Parish where they both serve as Eucharistic ministers and Mrs. Arnone is a lector. They are the parents of twins who are graduates of local Catholic high schools and now attending college.  Mrs. Arnone and her family consider Catholic education a top priority. She says, "My experience in both public and parochial schools has allowed me to see first-hand the value that Catholic schools give to our society. I believe that I will be able to help St. Hilary School continue to be a beacon of faith, and to empower its students to become leaders in their faith. Your children are God’s greatest gift to you. Your choice to send them to a Catholic school is your greatest gift to them. I feel blessed to have been chosen as principal of St. Hilary School."

Mrs. Arnone holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and a master’s degree in elementary school administration from the University of Akron.  She is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), is Chairperson for the Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) of the Southern Area Principals for the Diocese of Cleveland, and serves as an accreditation chairperson for the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association (OCSAA).

Mrs. Arnone is excited about leading the school beyond its first 50 years.

St. Hilary School, through the collaboration of parents, staff and students, creates a Christian educational community where quality education is offered. Our motto is Faith-Service-Knowledge. Our school focuses on Gospel values and Catholic Christian beliefs and traditions. This learning environment facilitates growth in all spiritual, academic and social areas, including critical thinking, problem solving, a spirit of inquiry, the integration of technology, sharing of Christian values, and service to others.
